Science Badges:

  1. Home chemistry
  2. 15 Points are needed to get a badge
  3. Work to a very high standard that means:
  • All experiments are written up ( Aim, Materials, Steps, Conclusion)
  • Two photos of your experiment
  • 6 sentences at least for a conclusionImage result for science badges

Aim: To learn the names of 10 household chemicals and identify if they are a solid, liquid or a gas.

    Definitions:

    1. Element; A single form of a chemical
    2. Compound: A mixture made up of 2 or more elements
    3. Reaction: A process in which chemicals mix together to form a new substance.
    4. Mixture: When two or more elements are mixed together.

    DLO maths

hello its week 11 on maths. The things we had was Matheletics/Prodigy, we were using the nearest tens teacher made the questions not understandable, for us, and DLO.

What i've learned: I learned that the "nearest tens" is odd to 11,12,13 years old people.

    science skittles.

    Skittles

Aim: To separate colours from skittles by using the chromatography.

    Materials;

    1. pea tree dish science
    2. skittles
    3. water
    4. 5 skittles
    5. table
    6.

    Process:

Step 1:place a (pea tree dish science) on a table.
Step 2: place the skittles separately in the (pea tree dish science).
Step 3: pour the water slowly and wait.
Step 4:watch it carefully until it grows.
Step 5:then it should look like the Process photo.
    Step 6:

Conclusion: What have I learnt from this experiment?
how it changes from a little bit of time.

    crime paper science.

Aim: To separate colours by using the process of chromatography.

Definition: Chromatography is a method of separating out materials from a mixture.
    Eg. blood, ink, drugs,

    Scenario
A crime has been committed. The police have a signed cheque and a letter from the same crime scene but it seems like the handwriting is different. They have 3 suspects but not enough evidence. They need to know if the letter and the cheque were written by the same person.

How do they tell if the pens used for both of these pieces of evidence are the same?

    Rainbow paper

    Materials;

    1. cup
    2. water
    3. crime paper
    4. 3 dark coloured pental pens
    5. warm water
    6.  cold water

    Process:

Step 1: place the cup on a table.
Step 2: get the crime paper and fold it of 25%.
Step 3: get the warm water wand pour drops in the cup.
Step 4: place 3 dots with all 3 pental pens, only 1 per pental pen (on crime paper.).
Step 5: place the crime paper in the cup make sure it has the 25% out side the cup.
Step 6: slowly pour the cold water in the cup and wait for the colours to appear.

Conclusion: What have I learnt from this experiment?

    stop motion

At our school we are doing stop motion we only manged to get 5 blocks of our stop motion of our story, the comments are *nothing* we need to do 10 or less blocks to finish our story.

    DLO

Hi on week 9 I/we have been doing maths on Monday we did Mathiletics and Revision.
on Tuesday I/we had go to the Teacher and learned a kind-of different way to easily solve things if we finish that soon we go to Follow-up whatever we do on that.
Thursday I/we have to do follow-up DLO, and DLO.

I/we have learned subtracting with column.

Hello again on week 10 it was fun and we leaned the same thing on Tuesday but I threw away the columns though before I knew the teacher said not to use the columns .
